1. Agreement

By installing or using Sidekick AI—including the Word/Excel/PowerPoint Office add-in, the Outlook desktop add-in, the Chrome/Edge/Firefox extension, the gateway API, and this website—you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the product. Privacy practices are described separately in the Privacy Policy.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sidekick AI for personal or internal business purposes, subject to these Terms and your plan limits (credits, model access, BYOK, or paid subscription when available).

3. Accounts, credits, and plans

Guest use requires no sign-in and uses a lower monthly credit allowance. Signing in with Google or Microsoft enables the Free plan allowance for that account. Basic ($5/month) and Pro ($20/month) add higher credits, full catalog models, and BYOK. Credit balances and plan rules are enforced by our gateway. Paid checkout uses Stripe when payments are enabled; until then, paid upgrades may be unavailable in the product UI.

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping sign-in credentials secure.

4. How the product works (important)

• AI requests go through our cloud gateway to third-party model providers (or your BYOK key’s provider).
• In Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Office.js scripts generated for your request run locally in Office on your machine.
• You must review AI output and any document or mail changes before relying on them. AI can be wrong or incomplete.
• Do not submit content you are not allowed to process with cloud AI services (including confidential third-party data without rights).

5. Acceptable use

• No reverse engineering, abuse, or disruption of the service
• No unlawful, harmful, or infringing use
• No bypassing credit limits, authentication, or security controls
• No automated scraping or excessive load beyond normal product use

6. Third-party services

Sidekick AI depends on third parties, including AI model providers in the product catalog, Google Cloud Vision for OCR, an optional search API for the browser extension, Cloudflare and Azure for hosting, Google/Microsoft for sign-in, and Stripe for payments when enabled. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their processing. If you use BYOK, you are responsible for that provider’s charges and terms.

7. Intellectual property

Sidekick AI software, branding, and site content remain ours or our licensors’. Your documents and mail remain yours. You grant us a limited right to process content you submit solely to provide the service (including sending necessary context to AI providers).

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Sidekick AI is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business, arising from your use of Sidekick AI. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Sidekick AI in the three months before the claim or (b) USD $50.

10. Termination

You may stop using Sidekick AI at any time. We may suspend or end access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the product. Sections that by nature should survive (including disclaimers and liability limits) survive termination.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
